To create the FRONTLINE/Columbia Journalism School Fellowship to be awarded annually to an outstanding graduate of Columbia Journalism School who has worked closely with that school’s Tow Center for Digital Journalism.
The FRONTLINE/Columbia Journalism School Fellowship was awarded to a Columbia University’s Masters in Arts program student and a freelance writer Katie Worth. Before coming to New York, Katie spent three years working on stories in Santiago, Chile. Her work consists of writing about science, politics, travel, business and other topics. She also worked as a daily newspaper reporter on the island of Guam for three years and at the San Francisco Examiner for four years. Katie published stories and photos in Scientific American, National Geographic News, Slate, VICE, and the Village Voice, among others.
