The Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) works to support a national coalition of State Advisory Groups (SAGs) and allies dedicated to diverting youth from the justice system and protecting those in it. CJJ acts as the united voice for SAGs at the federal level, advocating on behalf of state policymakers to Congress and the Presidential Administration. In addition, CJJ provides education and insights to state and federal policymakers on juvenile justice-related issues. These include ways to reduce incarceration, address racial and ethnic disparities within the juvenile justice system, and promote awareness of the intersection between youth homelessness and the juvenile justice system. The Tow Foundation’s unrestricted funding will be used to support CJJ’s efforts and goals.
