INNOVATION FUND EXTERNAL REVIEWERS

Mar 1, 2022

In December 2021, The Tow Foundation announced our commitment of up to $1 million to support groundbreaking, early-stage initiatives through the creation of a dedicated Innovation Fund. For more information about the Fund, please read our launch post here.

Now that the application period has closed, we turn our attention to assembling a diverse committee of experts and directly impacted community members to review Innovation Fund applications and make grant recommendations.

External reviewers will be asked to read, score and provide feedback on 12-15 grant applications to help guide the Foundation’s grantmaking decisions. Each reviewer will be compensated $1,000 for their contribution to this process.

Successful reviewers should have expertise in any of the following issue areas affecting children and their families: mental health, early intervention efforts in schools, and public health approaches to reducing gun violence. Current applicants will not be eligible to serve on the review committee.

Potential reviewers are asked to please express their interest via email by March 15, 2022.

To learn more about becoming an external reviewer, please see our
