Tow Foundation Awards Juvenile Justice Reform Grant to CT Youth Services Association

The Connecticut Youth Services Association (CYSA) is pleased to announce the receipt of the “Engaging City Leaders in Juvenile Justice Reform” project grant from the Tow Foundation. CYSA will work with six to eight cities of varying sizes across CT in partnership with the National League of Cities Institute for Youth, Education, and Families. The project is aimed at proactively involving elected officials and community leaders in local and state juvenile justice reform efforts. Cities will commit to reviewing and strengthening their services for youth, with the goal of improving outcomes for young people at risk of juvenile justice involvement. Each selected city will assemble a dedicated group of key local leaders in these efforts to participate.
Erica Bromley, the Juvenile Justice Liaison for CYSA said “The partnership with the 6-8 CT cities who will be involved in this project, as well as the relationship with the National League of Cities Institute for Youth, Education and Families, will allow CYSA to effectively support juvenile justice reform at both the local level and the state level.
