Else Went (they/she) Else Went is a non-binary trans playwright of mixed heritage based in New York City. Their work has been produced and developed by The Flea, The Tank, The Brick, Parity Productions, Easy Leap Theatre Company, and Living Room Theatre.
Full length plays include Old Names for Wildflowers, Three Seconds, Saving Throw, Boxcar, The
Tarantists, and The Great American Folksong. Short works include: Mongrel (Published; Dionysian), and Fireflies.
Co-founder of The Renovationists. Recipient of the 2017 Parity Productions Playwright Commission. Finalist for the 2017 Ingram New Works Lab at Nashville Rep, and the 2017 Scratchpad Series at Playwright’s Realm. Semi-finalist for the 2017 Ars Nova New Play Group. BA Sarah Lawrence College.
