Good Call is a technology company founded in 2016 to address systemic abuses in the arrest process and to uphold an individual’s Sixth Amendment rights to know the charges against them and obtain a lawyer. Its 24/7 hotline connects those who are arrested and their loved ones to an attorney who will provide free, immediate legal advice to help navigate the arrest process. It provides know-your rights workshops in the community and an internship program that helps develop skills in advocacy, community organizing and technology for youth of color ages 17 to 25 involved in alternative-to-incarceration programs in NYC.
