The Institute for Municipal and Regional Planning is a non-partisan research organization dedicated to enriching the quality of local, state and national public policy. Launched in 2007, the Institute’s Children with Incarcerated Parents Initiative seeks to improve the quality of supports for children with incarcerated parents by using the data and knowledge it gains from their experiences to inform public policy and practice. Using this grant, the Institute will document model programs serving children with incarcerated parents and disseminate this information nationally to inspire replication and improve outcomes for this population.
