Release Aging People in Prison

New York, NY

Unrestricted Funding

2022 - 2024

Founded in 2013, Release Aging People in Prison Campaign (RAPP) is committed to ending mass incarceration and promote racial justice through the release of aging people in prison and those serving long sentences. It builds the grassroots community power of individuals, families and communities across NYS impacted by the criminal legal system and leads local and state campaigns to reform the parole release process, promote clemency from the governor and expand other mechanisms of prison release. This grant provides general operating support for RAPP and its efforts to secure the release of elders serving extreme or life sentences in NY.
